virtual therapy
Understandably, some may be hesitant to try therapy virtually. However, I offer the same quality care as if I were in-person. I focus on listening, validating and supporting my clients. I also use easily accessible platforms to decrease the technology burden. It may take a few sessions to adjust, but most people find they are meeting their needs just as effectively with virtual appointments as with in-person. It’s a significantly more convenient option with the same quality of care.

how long can I expect to be in therapy?
The length of time spent in therapy varies on the person and their goals. I’ve seen significant change in as little as 2-3 sessions. However, the length of time spent in therapy varies on you and your goals. For instance, if someone is wanting support to work through a current job or relationship stress, length of care may be short. If someone is wanting to process lifelong trauma, length of care will be longer. Ultimately, I focus on whether you are noticing improvements, relief, and desired change. Healing comes in pace with hope, motivation, and time.
What does the first session look like?
The first time we meet, I complete a short intake. This usually takes an hour and allows me to gather enough information to obtain an overall view and focus care. The intake also helps set and clarify goals so our work begins on the same page. The next appointment is much more fluid where you and I focus on the current concern, emotional expression, ways to find relief, and build skills. I create an atmosphere to foster rapport, exploration, creativity, and progress.
What changes can I hope to receive from therapy?
Changes ultimately depend on what you’re wanting to see and accomplish. I tailor our work together to focus on your needs, strengths, supports and hopes. Your goals are my goals. In general, people have felt relief, clarity, confidence, and empowerment.
